Making Narrative Change
The resources and articles provided here were authored by Native, Black, and non-Indigenous people of color - all of whom are living at the critical inflection point where community and industry come into conflict. They’re provided for our Native and non-Native kin alike to better understand why the Native Theatre Movement is necessary, and how to better be a part of the change we are trying to create.

Contribute a Critical Perspective
The Native Theatre Movement is a movement by and for Native artists. As such, we uplift the voices of our community through publishing critical perspective articles written by Native theatre artists.
Artists may submit essays, criticism, interviews, manifestos, and more that are in alignment with our values. We accept:
Scholarly analysis regarding productions, inclusion data, and the state of Native representation
Pieces that illuminate the history of Native theatre in the U.S. and its territories
Educational offerings for non-Native theatre professionals and/or for Native artists looking to deepen their practice
We encourage any Native artist to submit written work that provides a critical perspective. Our team will work with artists to edit for clarity, and we pay an honorarium of $100 USD. To submit an article for consideration, please fill out this form:
